Who we are
This website is operated by VERBA PTY LTD (ABN 61 646 353 326), trading as Verba (“we,” “us”), of Pottsville, NSW 2489, Australia. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You can reach us at hello@verba.au.
What we collect
We only collect personal information you choose to give us, plus basic technical data:
- Contact form: your name, email address, and message. Optionally your phone number, business name, and the service you’re interested in.
- Review feedback form: your name, a rating, your feedback, and optionally your email address.
- Technical data: our hosting provider records standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) to serve and secure the site.
- Cookies and browser storage: see “Cookies” below.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes and provide the services you ask about, keep business records, and improve this website. We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell or trade your information. We do use a small number of service providers to run this site, and they only handle your information to provide their service to us:
- Neon — database hosting. Enquiry records are stored in Sydney, Australia.
- Zoho (ZeptoMail) — delivers our enquiry notifications and confirmation emails.
- ClickSend — an Australian SMS provider. When you submit the contact form we send it your name, your phone number (if you gave one), and the service you selected, so it can text us an alert and we can respond quickly.
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
- Cloudflare — domain name system and network security.
- Google — if you choose to leave a public review, that is governed by Google’s own terms. Where analytics or advertising measurement is enabled, it runs only with your consent (see “Cookies”).
We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
Overseas disclosure
Our database is located in Australia. However, some of the providers above store or process personal information outside Australia — in particular Vercel and Cloudflare (United States), and Zoho, which may process email outside Australia (including in the United States, Europe, and India). Other providers may also process information outside Australia. By submitting a form on this site you acknowledge that your information may be disclosed to these overseas recipients. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Cookies
We store your cookie choice in your browser so we don’t ask you again. If you accept, we may also use Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement cookies to understand how the site is used and how our advertising performs. These do not run unless you accept. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Storage, security and retention
Information is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and we take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure. We keep enquiry records only for as long as we need them for the purposes above and to meet our record-keeping obligations, after which we delete or de-identify them.
Your rights
You can ask us to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@verba.au. We will respond within a reasonable period. If we refuse, we will tell you why.
Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first at hello@verba.au and we will try to resolve it. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
